Remember to check your yard and mailbox for HOA violations. Every house’s mailbox must have a light that comes on from dusk to dawn. Our neighborhood is very dark, and mailbox lights provide first responders the ability to read addresses in times of emergency. Plus, it adds to the aesthetic and safety of our neighborhood.
If you are planning on re-coating your flat roof (monsoon season is right around the corner) we remind you of our CR&R requirement for all phases and Pima County’s ordinance that your roof coating be tan, not white. White roof coatings reflect light into neighbors windows and can be a visual nuisance. All white roofs are to re-coated by December 31, 2028.
If you are planning on painting your house, reach out to the HOA or FirstService Residential to get your house color approved. Painting your house white or a light value (LRV) above 60% is not allowed. FirstService Residential is accepting submittals for major architectural projects. The form will be on the FirstService Residential website for major projects.
Remember to bring in your trash cans after pickup and store them out of sight of the road.
Cimarron has so many wonderful dogs that are family members and bring joy to the neighborhood. Please remember to be a good dog owner, and clean up after them on walks.
Please be courteous to your neighbors and kind to your dogs by not leaving them outside for extended periods to bark and disturb your neighbors. Many people here work from home or work night shifts and need peace and quiet during the day.
RVs/Boats/Trailers/Truck Campers, etc. can be visible on a homeowner’s property only in transitory situations to clean, repair and maintain after, or before use, for a reasonable period of time (<2 weeks).
Remember, all vehicles in your driveway must be registered and road-worthy.
Finally, please be considerate neighbors to other communities in the foothills. Residents of Fairfield, just south of Cimarron Foothills across Sunrise and Paseo Otoño, have reported increased car traffic coming from Cimarron—specifically four-wheelers that appear to be cruising through and using their private roads as a recreational trail. We kindly ask that you refrain from using their private roads unless you have legitimate business in their neighborhood.
